A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the HBO series based on George R.R. Martin's Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas, continues to dominate HBO Max rankings. FlixPatrol, as reported by Collider, has listed the show as one of the service's biggest titles of the year. It has remained in top ten lists in several markets, including Germany, where it ranked No. 5 on HBO Max's October chart after spending months in the Top 10.

The series follows Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) and his young squire Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell), who is secretly a Targaryen prince. Set long before the events of Game of Thrones, the story offers a more intimate view of Westeros, trading palace-wide bloodshed for wandering-knight adventure and moral tests.

Collider's review, written by Therese Lacson, was not a fan. Lacson criticized the show for its lack of stakes, action, and female characters. She also noted that because the source material is only three novellas, continuing the story in a cohesive manner could be an issue, drawing parallels to the problems Game of Thrones faced beyond its fifth season.

The cast also includes Finn Bennett as Aerion Targaryen, Bertie Carvel as Baelor Targaryen, Tanzyn Crawford as Tanselle, Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel Baratheon, and Sam Spruell as Maekar Targaryen.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is airing now on HBO.
