Boruto's Next Casualty: Hidari Might Be the One to Go
Screen Rant predicts which Divine Tree villain is most likely to fall in the latest chapter of 'Two Blue Vortex' — and why his death could shake up Jura.

Screen Rant makes a strong case that Hidari, the Divine Tree copy of Sasuke Uchiha, is the next Boruto villain to die. The outlet points to a setup in chapter 37 where Sarada Uchiha, taken to Jura's lair by Code, lets Code and Hidari fight over her, planning to finish off the weakened winner. Sarada's Mangekyo Sharingan can kill either at full strength, but Screen Rant argues Hidari is the obvious choice.
Hidari never developed much of a personality beyond mimicking Sasuke's fondness for cats. Screen Rant notes he lacks the menace of Matsuri's obsession with Konohamaru or Mamushi's dangerous fixation on Eida. More importantly, his Thorn Soul Bulb is the only obstacle stopping Sasuke's return from his tree imprisonment. Killing Hidari is the cleanest way to bring back a fan favorite.
The real hook? Jura's reaction. Screen Rant observes that Jura has emotionally latched onto Hidari as his only friend — even buying cat books to please him. Losing him could trigger a rage transformation similar to Naruto's near-loss of Hinata or Obito's awakening after Rin's death. A grief-fueled Ten-Tails would be a first for the franchise, and it would likely shatter Jura's resolve not to attack Konoha.
What this means for the story
Screen Rant acknowledges the predictability: two prior arcs each ended with a Divine Tree defeated. Hidari fits the pattern. But the twist lies in Jura's newfound attachment. A loss could push the monster-of-the-arc formula into something more emotionally complex — or just unleash a flying, chakra-detecting, Tailed Beast Ball-hurling tantrum. We'll know more when the preview for chapter 38 drops.
