Collider reports that "The Mummy," Brendan Fraser's beloved 1999 adventure film, has landed on Netflix's global top 10 charts according to data from FlixPatrol. The movie that launched the "Brenaissance" and helped redefine the adventure genre is drawing new fans and nostalgic viewers alike.

The film, directed by Stephen Sommers, made over $418 million at the box office and holds a 62% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with a 75% audience score. Its cast includes Fraser as treasure hunter Rick O'Connell, Rachel Weisz as librarian Evelyn Carnahan, John Hannah as her brother Jonathan, and Arnold Vosloo as the resurrected Imhotep.

"The Mummy" is currently competing on the Netflix charts with films like Russell Crowe's "Unabomber" drama, Denzel Washington's "The Equalizer 3," Demi Moore's "The Substance," and Robert De Niro's "The Whisper Man." The streaming surge comes as fans await the upcoming fourth installment, "The Mummy 4," with most of the original cast set to return.

The film's blend of action, comedy, and romance has aged well, and its presence on Netflix gives new generations a chance to experience what made Fraser a household name. The movie has been available on Netflix and is currently gaining viewership across the globe.

Fraser's career resurgence following his Oscar win for "The Whale" has included roles in Martin Scorsese's "Killers of the Flower Moon," the comedy "Brothers," and the historical thriller "Pressure." But for many fans, his defining role remains the charismatic adventurer who made mummies cool again.
