LEGO Harry Potter Collection Hits Switch 2 October 16

Screen Rant reports the bundle of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and Years 5-7 lands on Nintendo Switch 2 this fall.

Screen Rant reports that pre-orders are open for the LEGO Harry Potter Collection on Nintendo Switch 2, with an October 16, 2026 release date. The collection combines two games: LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7, covering the events of the first seven movies.

The year split isn't equal. Years 5-7 covers three books, but Year 7 itself was split into two films: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Part 2. So the game adapts the equivalent of four movies. The seventh year was a doozy for Harry and friends.

The timing is interesting. HBO is preparing a decade-long Harry Potter television series, and Screen Rant notes this LEGO collection feels like a relic of the past. It captures the movie era before the series potentially redefines the franchise. A Hogwarts Legacy sequel is inevitable, Screen Rant says, but in the meantime, this collection offers a lighthearted return to Hogwarts on modern hardware.

If you own a Switch 2 and have been waiting for your Hogwarts letter, now is the time to check the pre-order page. The Hogwarts Express leaves October 16, and this collection is a charming way to play through the films before the new adaptation begins.
