American Horror Story 13: Fiona Goode Returns, Witches Unite

TheWrap reports that the crossover season finally brings back Jessica Lange's Supreme witch, setting up a team-up with Angela Bassett's Marie Laveau.

TheWrap's recap of episodes 7 and 8 of "American Horror Story: 13" is full of spoilers, but the headline is clear: Jessica Lange's Fiona Goode is back.

Fiona returns just after her daughter Cordelia (Sarah Paulson) is killed by Evan Peters' James Patrick March, acting on orders from a devil figure. Fiona was summoned from hell by Cordelia's own spell and arrives in time to resurrect her daughter and take charge.

The season's coven of witches then gains another ally: Angela Bassett's Marie Laveau, brought back from hell after a sacrifice by Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe). TheWrap notes that Queenie ends up deep-frying Delphine LaLaurie in a hellish fast-food line before Marie agrees to join forces with Fiona.

With five episodes left, the witches now need to combine white and Black magic to defeat Satan. TheWrap says the détente between Fiona and Marie is in place.

"American Horror Story: 13" airs Thursdays on FX and streams Fridays on Hulu. TheWrap's full breakdown includes deaths, resurrections and a lot of meta references.
