LEGO's Joker Wall Art Set Brings Iconic Comic Cover to Life

Screen Rant reports that the 1,849-piece set, based on Detective Comics #880, is now available for pre-order at $169.99.

LEGO has officially announced a new wall art set centered on the Joker, based on the 2011 Detective Comics #880 cover by artist Jock. Screen Rant reports that the set, numbered 67012, contains 1,849 pieces and is recommended for builders ages 18 and up. Pre-orders are open now on LEGO's website, with shipments beginning January 1, 2027. Buyers are limited to three sets per household.

The set measures over 20 inches high, 15 inches wide, and 2 inches deep. It recreates the cover's portrait of the Joker with a red version of Batman's logo in place of his eyes and a crown of tiny bats bursting from his head. LEGO's version adds a 3D effect, using the bricks to give depth to the character's unhinged expression.

According to Screen Rant, the build includes hidden Easter eggs: Batarangs, swords, flowers, and the text "Ha, ha, ha, ha" tucked into the design. These details pay homage to the Joker's history in DC Comics while keeping the set recognizably LEGO.

Fans can use the LEGO Builder app to access digital instructions during assembly. The set costs $169.99, and Screen Rant notes its collector appeal, given the limited purchase cap.

Jock is known for his work on Batman: The Black Mirror and variant covers for titles like Batman: Zero Year and Batman: Under the Red Hood. His Detective Comics #880 cover, created with writer Scott Snyder, remains a fan favorite. LEGO's decision to adapt it into a wall art set further cements its legacy.
