Line of Fire: Peter Krause's NBC Thriller Gets Sneak Peek at Father-Son Tension
Collider shares an exclusive look at Episode 3, where Krause's Secret Service agent puts his son's team to the test.

Peter Krause is back on NBC with a new crime thriller, and the network is giving fans an early look at the family drama. Collider reported an exclusive sneak peek at Episode 3 of "Line of Fire," titled "There Are Two Wolves." The show, created by Joshua Safran, follows the Hollingsworth clan, a family of law enforcement officers working across the Secret Service, FBI, U.S. Marshals, and the Department of Justice.
Krause plays Mike Hollingsworth, a Deputy Special Agent in Charge in the Secret Service. In the clip, his son Micah (Tommy O'Brien) responds to a security breach during break time. Sirens go off, and a call reports an infiltration at Eisenhower. The team moves quickly, shutting down elevators and checking doors on the way to the stairwell. When they open the door, they find Mike sitting on the stairs with a stopwatch. They were fast, but not fast enough for Mike, who vows a return to basics and fitness training in a dig at everyone present.
Collider noted that the father-son dynamic is already tense. The episode also follows Clare (Kat Cunning) and Russ (Taylor Bloom) racing to solve a grand jury tampering case, while Jane (Hope Davis) digs into files related to murdered agents, staying ahead of Homeland Security detective Nia Wallace (Antoinette Crowe-Legacy). Charlie Barnett rounds out the main cast as veteran Jack Hollingsworth.
So far, the series is off to a strong start. Collider reported that the premiere drew 8.6 million viewers, a 48% increase from NBC's Monday night slot last season. Critics have given it an 85% on Rotten Tomatoes. Collider's Therese Lacson gave it a 7/10, calling it "a twist on par with The Blacklist that makes the show worth tuning back into."
"Line of Fire" Episode 3 airs tonight at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
