Ryan Reynolds' Apple TV movie "Mayday" has been knocked off the top of the streamer's charts. Screen Rant reports that one month after its September 4 release, the film now ranks No. 3 in the United States as of October 5.

"Mayday" stars Reynolds as a U.S. Navy pilot who gets trapped behind enemy lines during the Cold War and teams up with an eccentric ex-KGB agent played by Kenneth Branagh. The cast also includes Marcin Dorociński, Maria Bakalova, David Morse, and Clark Johnson. John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein wrote and directed the film.

Despite losing the top spot, the movie holds an 83% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 68% audience score. Screen Rant calls it a lively adventure with sharp wit and Branagh's comedic performance.

The new No. 1 movie on Apple TV is "The Last First: Winter K2," a documentary about the first successful winter ascent of K2 in 2021. Directed by Amir Bar-Lev, it premiered at Sundance and landed on Apple TV on October 2. It has a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes score.

If you haven't caught "Mayday" yet, it's still worth a watch. Stick with it past the setup; the Reynolds-Branagh chemistry carries the fun.
