Percy Jackson and the Olympians has joined Netflix for a limited run, and Collider reports Disney added the first two seasons of the show based on Rick Riordan's books. The series has been a regular presence on Netflix's daily Top 10 since arriving, according to Collider.

According to Collider, the show has moved between spots on different days and took the No. 10 slot in Friday's edition of the list. Collider sees that as a sign of staying power, and says viewers appear to be moving through episodes because daily interest has not dropped off. Collider also says the current No. 1 TV show on Netflix's chart is a new series called Below.

Collider suggests Disney is using the Netflix window to build anticipation for Season 3, which arrives Nov. 20. Collider reports the third season adapts The Titan's Curse, the third book in Riordan's series. Collider notes the first two books, The Lightning Thief and The Sea of Monsters, were adapted as films in 2010 and 2013. The Titan's Curse, by contrast, has never been brought to the screen.

Collider also reports that the Season 3 renewal came about a year and a half ago, before Season 2 premiered. Collider expects the first two seasons to be pulled from Netflix around the Season 3 premiere, which leaves a short window for anyone who wants to catch up before the new season starts.

Collider notes Percy Jackson is not the only original from a streaming rival on Netflix right now. Mayor of Kingstown, Taylor Sheridan's Paramount+ series starring Jeremy Renner, is No. 5 on the same chart. Unlike Percy Jackson, it does not carry a "Watch for a Limited Time" message, which Collider says could mean it stays on Netflix longer.
