Practical Magic 2 Leaves 2,100 Theaters Before Digital Debut
Screen Rant reports the sequel's theatrical run is ending ahead of its Oct. 13 digital release.

Screen Rant reports the fantasy sequel's theatrical run is ending. Practical Magic 2 stars Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock, and it lands on digital Oct. 13.
The outlet says Warner Bros. has pulled the movie from 2,100 theaters. It also reports a worldwide gross estimated at $100 million as of early October, against a reported production budget of $75 million.
Screen Rant reports the reaction has been split. Critics on Rotten Tomatoes gave it 26%, while audiences gave it 91%. Screen Rant's Liz Declan wrote:
"What ensues is a plot that, in theory, explores questions of identity, family, self-actualization, and love, but in practice often leaves audiences perplexed or trying to stifle bouts of laughter so as not to disturb other theater-goers."
Screen Rant reports the movie briefly passed Spider-Man: Brand New Day at the box office but could not hold the lead. The site says Warner Bros. is now focused on the digital release.
