Tulsa King Renewed for Season 5, Production Moves to New York

Paramount+ has renewed Tulsa King for a fifth season, Collider reports, and production began Monday in New York City. The renewal arrives before the fourth season even premieres on Oct. 16.

The move to New York is a significant shift for the series, which spent four seasons building Dwight Manfredi's life in Oklahoma. The production previously filmed in Atlanta. Dwight, played by Sylvester Stallone, arrived in Tulsa after serving 25 years in prison, sent there by his New York crime family. Season 5 will bring his story back to where it started.

Paramount Television Studios EVP Drew Brown said in a statement: “We are thrilled to bring fans even more of this incredible series, and to be shooting the next season of Tulsa King in New York, where Dwight Manfredi’s story will continue to evolve. We’re proud of the work we’ve done in Georgia, and it remains an important venue for us.”

The cast includes Stallone, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Vincent Piazza, Annabella Sciorra, Frank Grillo, Neal McDonough, Garrett Hedlund and Gretchen Mol, who joins as a series regular in Season 4. Terence Winter remains head writer and executive producer, with Taylor Sheridan, Stallone, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Thomas Kelly and Keith Cox also executive producing. Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios produce.

Tulsa King Season 4 premieres Oct. 16 on Paramount+. Season 5 is now in production in New York City.
