3 Best Movies on Prime Video This Weekend: John Wick 4, X, Wrath of Man
Screen Rant picks Keanu Reeves' action sequel, Mia Goth's horror hit and a Jason Statham revenge thriller.
Prime Video subscribers have three strong options this weekend, according to Screen Rant. The streaming service added several movies on Oct. 1, and these three stand out.
John Wick: Chapter 4
The 2023 action sequel is currently the fourth most-watched film on Prime Video in the United States, Screen Rant reports. It follows John Wick's quest for revenge against the High Table. The cast includes Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Lance Reddick and Laurence Fishburne. On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie holds a 94% critics' score and a 93% audience score.
X
The 2022 horror film arrived on Prime Video on Oct. 1. Directed by Ti West, it stars Mia Goth as both Maxine Minx, an adult film star, and Pearl, an elderly woman who owns the farmhouse where Maxine and her crew plan to shoot a movie. Jealousy turns into violence in this slasher, which Screen Rant calls perfect for Halloween. Jenna Ortega, Kid Cudi and Brittany Snow also appear.
Wrath of Man
Also arriving Oct. 1, this 2021 action thriller teams Jason Statham with director Guy Ritchie. Statham plays H, an armored truck driver with a hidden motive, in a revenge story. Screen Rant calls it a good follow-up for anyone working through Ritchie's filmography.
