The Beekeeper's 200-Day Prime Video Streak
Jason Statham's 2024 action film has spent over 200 days in Prime Video's top 10, according to Collider, while its sequel moves to 2027.

Jason Statham had a rough 2026 at the box office. His two releases this year — "Shelter" and "Mutiny" — both bombed, per Collider. But the action star's 2024 collaboration with director David Ayer is still earning its keep on streaming.
"The Beekeeper" has been in Prime Video's top 10 for more than 200 days now, Collider reports. That kind of longevity is rare, even for a movie that made $160 million worldwide at the box office against what Collider describes as a modest budget (the trade does not give the exact figure, but the gross more than doubled the film's reported $40 million production cost). By comparison, Statham and Ayer's follow-up, "A Working Man," grossed $80 million on a $40 million budget -- a solid return but half the global haul of "The Beekeeper."
Collider says the sequel, "The Beekeeper 2," was originally expected in theaters before the end of this year but has since been pushed to Jan. 15, 2027. David Ayer will not direct; Timo Tjahjanto, who directed "Nobody 2," is taking over. Statham reprises his role as Adam Clay, with Jeremy Irons returning and newcomers Pom Klementieff and Adam Copeland joining the cast.
The first film is streaming now on Prime Video. The sequel's delay means Statham will have to wait a bit longer for another win after this year's misses.
