Lucy Hale To Play Scarlett Holmes In Roku Rom-Com Series

The 'Pretty Little Liars' star will executive-produce the limited series, expected in 2027.

Lucy Hale is trading the mysteries of Rosewood for the mysteries of the heart. TVLine reports that the 'Pretty Little Liars' alum will star as Scarlett Holmes in a new Roku Original limited series, expected to premiere in 2027.

The series reimagines the Sherlock Holmes universe as a romantic comedy. Scarlett has the classic Holmesian knack for noticing details, but she applies it to romantic mysteries instead of crime. In each episode, she and her sidekick Jane Watson help clients navigate mixed signals, secret crushes, and romantic dilemmas.

But Scarlett's own love life is the real puzzle. She falls for Ollie Moriarty, a podcast producer who is secretly planning to expose her methods. The logline, per TVLine, says each episode draws inspiration from a beloved romantic comedy.

Jane Watson and Ollie Moriarty have not yet been cast. Hale will also executive-produce the series.
