Pearl, Ti West's prequel to X starring Mia Goth as the farmhouse killer, has quietly returned to HBO Max's top 10 global charts, according to FlixPatrol.

The 2022 slasher, which scored a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, sits alongside titles like DC's Supergirl, Halle Berry's Never Let Go, and Paul W. S. Anderson's In The Lost Lands.

X kicked off the trilogy with a 1979-set story about a porn shoot gone bloody. Pearl, shot back-to-back with X, moves to 1918 Texas and follows Goth's character as a young woman whose dream of movie stardom curdles into violence. Critics singled out Goth's performance, including a devastating unbroken six-minute monologue and a credits-rolling manic smile.

The follow-up, MaXXXine, released earlier this year, ties back to X and follows the survivor trying to crack mainstream Hollywood while evading her past. Collider reports the full trilogy offers a look at ambition, aging, and isolation.

Pearl earned $10 million worldwide during its theatrical run.
