Power Rangers: Green #5 ends Tommy Oliver's solo series Dec. 23
BOOM! Studios' five-issue miniseries concludes with Tommy making one last stand, closing a defining era for the Green Ranger.

Power Rangers fans have a date to mark: the end of Tommy Oliver's first solo comic series.
BOOM! Studios' December solicitations confirm that Power Rangers: Green #5 will be the final installment of the five-issue miniseries, set to release Dec. 23, 2026. The issue, written by Paul Allor with art by Gustaffo Vargas, asks a single question: Can Tommy Oliver save the world one last time?
Per the official synopsis, Tommy and his found family will face the recently introduced villain the Unmade and her Red Censer, a towering, spider-like machine of destruction. Armed with tools retrieved from the Wild Morphs, they prepare to destroy the threat and prevent the Unmade from building another monster, aiming to secure lasting peace for the magical beings of this world. The synopsis also teases that Goldar has a request for Tommy, though whether the former enemy will get help remains unclear.
What makes this finale more than another battle is the series' larger premise: set more than a century in the future, after civilization has collapsed, it depicts a retired Tommy as the last living Power Ranger. After decades of adventures, the series has explored his extraordinary longevity, elevating him beyond the franchise's most iconic Green Ranger to the final carrier of the Power Rangers legacy.
The miniseries, which launched with two issues that drew largely positive fan responses, represents a significant chapter in Tommy's history. Originally introduced as a villain, Tommy evolved into a team member, then a leader, and now, in this story, the last Ranger standing. Green #3 is expected Oct. 21, 2026, giving readers a couple of months before the bittersweet goodbye arrives with issue #5.
